Chesham Bois Parish Council has taken the difficult decision to raise our precept this year by 14.5% which equates to an increase of approximately £4.32 per Band D household to £34.03 for the year.
The Council has traditionally held significant reserves which are now earmarked to be spent on upgrading/replacing obsolete street lighting in the village and major clearance work on the Commons and Woodlands areas. With the decision to accept devolution from Bucks County Council, the Parish Council will be undertaking more responsibility for maintaining the local area.
We believe that the absolute increase in precept of £7,269 over the year represents good value for the services offered.
