Chesham Bois Parish Council has decided to name the area of the Common on which the summer fetes are held as the ‘Jubilee Field’ in recognition of H.M. The Queen’s Platinum Jubilee.

Visitors to the Common may also have noticed that the wooden seating near Bricky Pond and the cricket ground has been replaced this week because the previous seats had deteriorated over time and been damaged. The new seats have been made with recycled wood.

As you may already know, from reading content on this website, our social media news or regular column in Your Amersham magazine, the frequency with which roadside verges in Chesham Bois have previously been mowed has been reduced this season.

Protecting the environment and improving biodiversity across land owned or managed by the Parish Council are key priorities and we are taking steps to develop and implement a long-term plan with those two objectives in mind.
