Chesham Bois Local History

Chesham Bois village was first mentioned in the Domesday Book of 1086.  It remained a small rural parish until the railway arrived.  Much of the farmland was then sold as building plots, including, in 1896, the 60 acres at the centre of the village previously owned by local Land owner, Arthur Lasenby Liberty.
